Interesting and concise yet thorough on what a psychopath is. It was long enough to provide a very good and fascinating summary of what it means to be a psychopath. I wish the author would have given a case study at the end of the book which was about a psychopath who was not violent, as he stated a number of times throughout the book that not all psychopaths are violent, and yet those are the only types of case study examples that were given at the end of the book. Also, it does not appear that the book was proof read. There are some spelling, etc. mistakes which should have been easily caught. Other than that, interesting book.Product details

Interesting read. Some editing issues present...missing letters etc. Also, Bundy's given birth date is wrong. It was 11/24/1946, not 1969. Overall, it's a fascinating subject and provided some great insights into how psychopaths function.
Some nice information about what constitutes a psychopath vs. a sociopath with descriptions and examples. Possibly a bridge-book to more detailed/exhaustive books. A short read.
I learned psychopaths actually structure their language differently. This observation still needs more research to understand what their language choices means. When psychopaths commit a crime they are more likely to talk about basic things like food and drink. Other people who commit crimes, talk about God and family much more. Also, heinous crimes psychopaths confessed to had many subordinate clauses in their explanation as if what they did, has a logic to it.
I always wondered what makes a psychopath and how they pick and choose their world. This book gave a clear outline of what their characteristics are and how they attach or approach their "victims.'" The most fascinating part of the book is when Dr. Fallon found out the shocking results of what his brain was showcasing and how he manages his surroundings.

I loved reading this book, it was fascinating. I love learning new things and this book was full of information! I have alwasy been a fan of crime shows, so psycopaths have always been so fascinating to me, and this book really gets to the root of what being a psycopath really means and what it doesn't mean. I loved this book, everyone should read it.
INFORMATIVE... and definitely kept my interest ! Well written ! What an interesting being is the Psychopath that walks amongst us in this world ! So grateful that some authors have taken the time to explain who and what Psychopaths and Sociopaths are. I had no idea but believe I've met one recently ! I'm beginning to realize after reading Mr. Sorensen's book how important it is to know just who they are, and just what it is they're capable of doing to us !
