When I sampled this, it reminded me of some classic Lynda Chance. Big growly alpha H who's frowning and short-tempered because he's so into the h who's avoiding him just a little because she thinks he doesn't like her, ha! Emma thinks Logan's frown is dislike, but it's only sexual frustration; it's his "I'm going to f- you good and hard face." Very cute set-up with both h/H working at the same place. Logan's the protective alpha, and Emma's the sweet, virginal twenty-two-year-old. Logan's 26 but felt more mature to me than that. He thinks that he'll "start with sex before easing her into the complicated sh--, like living together and marriage and babies." So good.Dual first-person POV in this, lots of sexy times, plenty of dirty, raunchy sex talk, with some sweetness to the romance, and insta-love/ insta-lust. If you enjoy Alexa Riley, I think you'll like this, too. I thought the ending was some misunderstanding for the sake of it, as there's really no drama to the story. Very easy reading with lots of sex. Ends at about 89% and I wouldn't have minded a little more of it. Wish it had been longer and more developed, but still, short and sexy and dirty, and I enjoyed it. I'll be sure to look for this author again.

I liked this story, it was about normal, average people, carried by their personalities, a lot of sexiness and love. It was also a bit raunchy, spoken and action wise. Even with the above, Logan and Emma have a lot going for them, work hard and play hard. All this was wrapped around Christmas time and how Logan's family celebrates at work and home, and how Emma doesn't or hasn't due to her past. There is a lot packed into this short story, but mostly I loved watching Emma break out of her she'll with Logan's help, encouragement and playfulness.
I liked this story. It was short, fun and sexy.
It was a quick dose of Christmas, wrapped up in a satin blindfold, and thigh high striped stockings.
Emma is a woman used to wanting things, but conditioned to being disappointed. Logan is a gentle giving soul, wrapped up in a growling, abrupt, yet smoking hot package. He knows what he needs and sets about claiming it. Whether she wants to be claimed or not.
One downside, I would have loved more interaction between the characters and less sex, but that's probably just me. It was very much an "insta-love" story.
If you're looking for a sweet holiday read, this is a good choice.
My first novel by this author but certainly not my last.
A short and heartfelt story, gripping and realistic characters, sexy and steamy love scenes and a ending that leaves you craving more.
What I enjoyed most about this book was the actual story. You get those short and sweet romance that lack a lot of substance but with Secret Santa you get a sexy feel good story with realistic feelings and emotions. You get in depth character. Logan is the definition of a alpha male. Protective and possessive but not overly controlling or obsessive. He was the perfect balance of alpha male but loving book boyfriend. Emma was sweet but strong. A fighter that didn't have a good start in life but was determined to survive. I loved her tough exterior mixed with her sweet and kind side. Watching these two fall in love made my heart double in size.
4.5 stars for an author that was able to give me a short, sweet and sexy story with an actual realistic plot and characters. I can't wait to read more from this author. One click away, Secret Santa is perfect for the any day.
Omg! Hotter than a damn furnace. Omg. Wow. I'm literally shaking. My thoughts on this will probably not be like other reviews. Here goes
I enjoyed the story. I really did. I loved Emma, she was so beautiful and innocent. I wasn't sure what to think of the book synopsis, but once I started, I could not put it down. I had to put it down, go fan myself, then read more. Spent a quiet NY Eve reading this story.
I love macho heroes as much as the next woman, but Logan, omg that man was like a beast. I thought he came off at times like a Neanderthal. He was so mean at first. I know he was attracted to her, but good Lord. He screwed her with such brute force I was crying along with poor Emma. I would have been terrified of a man who was that harsh and brutal. It seemed cheap. The dirty way he talked to her. Where was the tenderness? The love? The friendship? I can't believe he didn't realize she was a virgin. It was harsh lust, it didn't feel like he loved her. Once he realized she needed to be wooed and courted properly, he redeemed himself a little, then I was mad at him when he made those assumptions about her. It had to make her feel like she was prostituting herself. He stuck his two big feet in his mouth. I liked how the more he tried to explain to her that's not how he meant it, the more she held his feet, and his winkie in the fire. 😉
I guess the main theme was how crazy in love he was with her, from the moment he laid eyes on her. I loved his declaration towards the end. She completes him. Totally. He completes her as well. A very hot story. Probably one of the hottest I have ever read.
This was a very detailed erotic book, but it also had a heartwarming story within it. Emma is all alone in the world, being an orphan going from foster homes to foster homes, she learns to depend on herself. Now as an adult, she seems to be dealing with more let downs, from getting laid off from her previous job to having barely enough money to make ends meet. She's depending on this current job she has to get her back on track with her finances and she ends up getting more than what she bargain for. Logan is Emma's boss son that she's instantly attracted to, but it seems he doesn't really like her for some unknown reason. Turns out Logan is fiercely attracted to Emma, but doesn't show it in the way a normal guy would show it such as flirting or just having polite conversation. So Logan finally act on his attraction to Emma's surprise and from there a whole lot of sexual encounters and some coming of age happens for Emma as well as Logan! Good quick, easy and sexy read!
